These Terms of Use govern your use of the Salamat mobile app (the "App"). By installing and using the App you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. What the App is for
Salamat is an app for counting calories and keeping a food diary. A dish can be added by photo, by voice, by scanning a barcode, or manually. The App also includes a chat with an AI nutrition coach. The App is intended for people aged 16 and over.
2. Not a medical service
The App is informational and is not a medical service, a diagnostic tool or a treatment. Calorie figures and targets are estimates. AI coach responses are informational and are not medical advice. The App is not a substitute for consulting a doctor or dietitian. You use the App's suggestions at your own risk and responsibility. Before changing your diet or physical activity — particularly if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have any other relevant circumstance — consult a doctor.
3. Account and data
You agree to provide accurate information about yourself so that calculations work correctly. You are responsible for keeping access to your device and account secure. How personal data is processed is described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Subscription and payment
The App uses a freemium model: manual entry, barcode scanning and voice entry are free and unlimited; photo recognition is available three times, after which a subscription is required; the AI coach chat requires a subscription (Salamat Pro). Subscription payments are processed by the app store (App Store) under its own rules. A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your app store account settings. Prices may vary by country and may change over time.
5. Acceptable use
You may not:
- use the App for unlawful purposes;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to our servers or to other users' data;
- interfere with the App's operation, or copy or decompile any part of it without permission;
- use the App to cause harm to yourself or others.
6. Intellectual property
The App, its design, its dish database and its content are protected and belong to the rights holder. Using the App does not transfer any rights in its content to you, other than the right of personal, non-commercial use.
7. Limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is". We do not guarantee the absolute accuracy of calorie calculations, dish recognition or AI coach responses, and we are not liable for decisions you make based on the App's data, nor for any harm to health arising from changing your diet without professional advice. Liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will update the date at the top of the document. Continuing to use the App after changes means you accept them.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of the Kyrgyz Republic.
